Project Smiles

We are working on a newly built dental office utilizing 61 category6 network drops, 2 switches, 4 patch panels, 1 server, 1 battery backup, and 1 wattbox. There will be a bit more room to grow inside this rack. More pics will be coming as the project progresses.

Details About Project Smiles

The network cabling utilizes 4 different colors. Blue for computer, yellow for phones, green for printers, and white for cameras. The coloring system will match from patch panel to wall jack. The cables will be ran in the ceiling utilizing J-Hooks at appropriate lengths throughout. Both sides of each cable will be labeled and tested as well as mapped out in an excel document to be given to the client.

This will be a 100% managed system via Ubiquiti Unifi switching and wifi, and Sophos XG router. The power is also cloud managed via wattbox. As long as there is an operational internet source, we will be able to have full control to troubleshoot all equipment in this rack.

All our builds are completely built in our office, documented, configured, tested, and then broken down to get ready for delivery to ensure the client gets the best experience possible.

Something new we have began to do towards the end of 2018 is utilizing these red, yellow, and black rack studs instead of the traditional metal cage nuts. These studs make a huge difference in speed, and stress when installing equipment  into racks.

Completion date is set for April.
